The Touch of Glass Corvette Club of Lake County, Inc. was founded on June 7, 2009, by a group of Corvette enthusiasts who felt there was a need for a club in the Eustis, Mount Dora, and Tavares area. That group became the steering committee and met numerous times to create a club name, logo, and develop a set of By-Laws. Vann Gannaway Chevrolet agreed to be the club sponsor and offered space at their dealership for the club to hold its meetings, as well as a 10% discount on parts and service.
The first official meeting of the club was held on September 9, 2009, with a handful of enthusiastic Corvette owners in attendance. Since that first meeting, the club has participated in the Tavares Christmas and 4th of July parades, Vettefest, the NCRS event held at Old Town in Kissimmee and Lakeland, Georgefest in Eustis, and many other local car cruises. For over a year, the club hosted the Eustis monthly Cruise-In on the 4th Sat. of every month.
In 2024, A Touch of Glass Corvette Club donated $1,000 to Cornerstone Hospice. The club has now donated over $12,715 to Cornerstone Hospice!
Hope to see you at a meeting!
